Stay at home, with someone there around the clock

Live-in care means a dedicated carer moves into your loved one's home and supports them day and night. It is a genuine alternative to a care home, and for most people, a better one.

What to expect

One carer. Their home. Round-the-clock support.

A live-in carer moves into your loved one's home and becomes part of their daily life. They are there when your loved one wakes up, there to help through the day, and there at night if anything is needed.

This is not a rota of different faces. We match your loved one with a dedicated carer, chosen for compatibility as well as experience, and back them up with a small, consistent team. The people caring for your loved one are people they know.

Care is shaped around how your loved one already lives: their routine, their preferences, their home. The only thing that changes is that they have someone with them.

The evidence

Most people want to stay at home. The research supports it.

Choosing between live-in care and a care home is one of the hardest decisions a family makes. These figures come from independent research and are worth knowing before you decide.

97%

of people say they would prefer to stay in their own home as they age

50%

slower rate of cognitive decline for people with dementia who remain in familiar surroundings, compared with residential care

33%

fewer falls for live-in care clients compared to those in residential settings

Live-in care is not the compromise. For most people, it is the better outcome.

What live-in care covers

Live-in care covers the full range of daily needs, practical, personal, and clinical. Every care plan is built around the individual during a free assessment. We commonly help with:

  • Personal care

Washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, done with care and respect.

  • Medication

Reminders, prompting, or administration as needed. Every shift is recorded.

  • Meal preparation

Meals and drinks prepared to your loved one's tastes, at times that suit them.

  • Companionship

Real time together, not just task completion. Conversation, getting outside, activities they enjoy.

  • Domestic support

Light housekeeping, laundry, tidying. Keeping the home comfortable and safe.

  • Getting out and about

Accompanying to GP appointments, shopping, or social activities. Our carers are fully insured to drive clients, at 50p per mile.

  • Night-time support

Someone present through the night, whether that means sleeping nearby or providing active support.

  • Return from hospital

Coordinated support on the day of discharge, often beginning the same day.

  • Pet care

Feeding and caring for your loved one's pet as part of daily life.

The same carer, not a different face each week

We take the matching process seriously. Before care starts, we discuss your loved one's personality, interests, routines, and preferences. We match on those things, not just on availability.

Once care begins, you will have a dedicated carer and a small backup team. The same people, consistently. That consistency is the foundation for the kind of trust that makes live-in care genuinely comfortable rather than just functional.

Transparent pricing

No hidden fees. No surprises.
